Up to six Rangers first-team players may be sidelined for the match against Kilmarnock, according to Philippe Clement.

Following the international break, the Ibrox manager gave an update on injuries, noting that four players will not be playing.

Due to a suspension, Ianis Hagi is not eligible to play after getting sent off during his comeback to the first team at Ibrox.

A few more weeks of rehabilitation remain for Oscar Cortes, as Ridvan Yilmaz nears his comeback to training before Rabbi Matondo returns to his teammates after an injury.

Danilo, the striker, is back in training at Auchenhowie, but it’s uncertain if he’ll be ready for this weekend.

Clement attested, saying, “Hagi is on leave. Cortes won’t be back for a few weeks.

“Ridvan I anticipate that Matondo will return to training either later that week or the week after.

“Danilo is back training with the squad – we will see how fit he is for the weekend.”

Thankfully, Clement did not suffer any fresh injuries during the international break. Nevertheless, Ross McCausland’s injury prior to the break makes him unlikely to play against Kilmarnock.

The winger had a “small issue,” but depending on how he feels over the next few days, he might be able to play this weekend.

Fortunately, Clement noted, “no injuries from international duty.”

“The only one is Ross (McCausland) but he had a small issue before the break, he is back in training but not certain to be available.”
