Messi elogia Nico Paz mentre Napoli e Milan mostrano interesse per la stella nascente di Como

Lionel Messi has given a glowing endorsement of Nico Paz, the young talent currently playing for Como in Serie A. The Argentine superstar stated, “Nico has many qualities and understands the game perfectly. He has an impressive mind and is working with a coach who is my friend (Cesc Fabregas) who will help him grow even more.”

Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo reports how Paz, who is on loan from Real Madrid, has been turning heads with his performances for both Como and the Argentina national team. In a recent 6-0 victory over Bolivia, Paz showcased his skills with a technically sublime play that resulted in an assist for Messi’s goal.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined Real Madrid’s youth academy in 2016 after starting his career at Tenerife. He progressed through the ranks, eventually making his first-team debut for Los Blancos and scoring a goal against Napoli in the Champions League.

Como secured Paz’s services for €6 million, but Real Madrid maintains control over his future. The Spanish giants retain 50% of any future transfer fee and have a buyback option. Real Madrid is reportedly thrilled with Paz’s development and sees similarities between his journey and that of former Serie A player Brahim Díaz.

Paz’s standout technical abilities include his one-on-one skills and long-range shooting. Both AC Milan and Napoli have expressed strong interest in the player, with Napoli particularly impressed after their recent encounter with Como at the Maradona Stadium. Several Premier League clubs are also monitoring Paz’s progress.

However, Real Madrid has no intention of losing control over Paz’s future and is content to see him develop at Como for now. A return to the Santiago Bernabeu seems inevitable, with manager Carlo Ancelotti reportedly keen on working with Paz again in the future.
