The Dallas Cowboys desperately need a spark to turn things around after a poor showing in Week 6 and a miserable start to the season. But it doesn’t appear that they’ll be trying to change things around by adding any new players.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Jerry Jones, the general manager and owner of the Cowboys, has stated that he would not be involved in any trades at the impending NFL trade deadline.

The trade deadline is three weeks away, slated for Nov. 5, but Jones indicated that he won’t be looking to strike a deal in order to bring more talent to Dallas. Instead, he’s hoping the team can sort out their woes on the practice field in order to achieve the results they’re seeking.

Jones stated following Sunday’s 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions that the team was not considering making any changes to the coaching staff. Now, he’s disclosed the team’s attitude ahead of the trade deadline, appearing confident that they have a winning formula with the players already in place.

The Cowboys are 3-3 so far this season, and while supporters may have hoped they’d be in the market for a big name at the deadline, that won’t happen unless Jones changes his mind.
