Jonathan Tah has finally joined Inter Milan on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.
Inter Milan have set their sights on Jonathan Tah, the 27-year-old defender from Bayer Leverkusen,
as a potential free transfer target. Tah, whose contract with the German club is set to expire,
has recently confirmed that he will not be renewing his deal,
making him an attractive prospect for several top European clubs.
FCInterNews report that the Nerazzurri’s interest in Tah is particularly intriguing due to the player sharing the
same management team as Benjamin Pavard, which could potentially facilitate negotiations.
This connection has already established a positive relationship between Inter and Tah’s representatives.
However, securing Tah’s signature won’t be a straightforward task for Inter.
The German international has caught the attention of several heavyweight clubs, including Bayern Munich,
Barcelona, and various Premier League sides. This fierce competition could complicate Inter’s pursuit of the defender.
Despite these challenges, Inter Milan see Tah as an interesting opportunity, especially if his salary demands remain within a reasonable range of 4-5 million euros per season. The club views him as a valuable addition on a free transfer, particularly considering the current contract situations of some of their defensive players.
Inter’s interest in bolstering their defense is understandable, given that three of their current defenders – Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij, and Matteo Darmian – all have contracts expiring on June 30th of next year. This situation adds urgency to Inter’s search for defensive reinforcements.
