A new update has been issued on the ongoing A63 Castle Street project.

National Highways has announced that the Market Place A63 entry slip road is scheduled to reopen from 6am on Monday, October 14.

Meanwhile, a closure is planned just before this on the eastbound A63 between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way. This will take place over one night from 8pm on Sunday, October 13 until 6am the following morning.

A fully-signed diversion will be in place via the A15, A164, A1079 and A1033 for eastbound traffic.

Work on the £355m project began more than four years ago to create a new junction by lowering the level of the A63 with Ferensway and Commercial Road passing overhead. Meanwhile, the eastbound carriageway is being widened to three lanes between Princes Dock Street and Market Place.

The scheme is due to be completed in 2025.
