Chiefs want to trade for a star wide receiver for $90 million.

Due to the negative headlines surrounding wide receiver Rashee Rice,

the Kansas City Chiefs are shopping for a replacement pass catcher.

About Rice, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network wrote on Saturday, October 5,

“as of now, it appears there is only a small chance that the electric second-year player can possibly return this season.”

The Chiefs also remain without Marquise “Hollywood” Brown,

a quick deep threat whom they acquired over the offseason but who has yet to play a regular-season snap with the team due to a shoulder ailment. Despite the injuries to maybe the two finest wide receivers on the squad and star tight end Travis Kelce’s sluggish start to the season,

Kansas City is still 4-0 heading into its Monday Night Football battle against the New Orleans Saints.

According to several sources, the Chiefs are rumored to be in trade talks for a new receiver and were favored to get back together with Tyreek Hill,

the great playmaker for the Miami Dolphins,

later this week. Sportsbetting.ag has Kansas City as the odd-on favorite to deal for Hill at +350 as of Friday, October 4.

During his first six years of playing, Hill was a member of the Chiefs,

where he won a Super Bowl ring with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and was named to the Pro Bowl each season.

Financial difficulties forced Kansas City to trade Hill to the Dolphins before the 2022 season,

but they managed to win the next two Super Bowls without him.

Despite this, Hill’s NFL teammates voted him the league’s top player going into this season;

he hasn’t been able to live up to that choice since Week 2’s concussion that sidelined quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and destroyed Miami’s potent offense.

With his current contract through 2026, Hill has a three-year, $90 million pact in place.
