Le Bris admits he made a mistake in Leeds clash, confirms Sunderland starlet could be out 3 times longer than initially feared

Le Bris came in as Sunderland’s new manager during the summer, and it’s fair to say that he has hit the ground running, leading his club into the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.

It’s never simple to predict how a club will perform under a new manager, but the Black Cats have won a lot of memorable games and played some fantastic football, with players like Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham standing out.
Even still, Sunderland has had several disappointments. Chief among them was the departure of star winger Jack Clarke to Ipswich Town; the hero of the Stadium of Light was unable to refuse a transfer to a Premier League team.

 

Le Bris have also had to deal with injuries. Ian Poveda, who signed a permanent deal to join from Friday’s opponents Leeds United, is limited to just 44 minutes of Championship action thus far this season. Long-term absentees Niall Huggins and Jenson Seelt are among the others who have also disappeared at various points in time.
