Ivan Juric is under investigation as Daniele De Rossi’s return is being considered by the club owners.
Despite managing Roma for just four games, Ivan Juric is already “under scrutiny,”
as the club owners are willing to explore several options in the event of another mishap at Monza,
including Daniele De Rossi‘s comeback.
Since taking over for De Rossi, Juric has won two straight Serie A games.
He has also received a tie and a loss in two Europa League games,
the latter being midweek against Swedish team Elfsborg on a night when the Giallorossi put forth a lackluster showing.
The first loss of Juric’s brief tenure was sufficient to raise questions about his future at the Stadio Olimpico because it appeared that the team’s gains after his arrival had already faded.
Roma does not discount De Rossi’s comeback because Juric is being investigated.
Roma manager Juric is reportedly already “under scrutiny,” and Sunday’s Serie A encounter at Monza will be a “crucial crossroads” that might decide the ownership’s next course of action, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The team’s performances against Venezia and Elfsborg, which erased the encouraging signals Juric showed in his debut game,
against Udinese, and in the first half against Athletic Bilbao, are apparently the source of the club’s dissatisfaction.
The ownership of Roma may begin considering other possibilities if performances and outcomes do not improve.
“Nothing could be ruled out,” even Daniele De Rossi’s return.
De Rossi was unexpectedly fired after just four Serie A games despite having extended his contract at the end of the previous campaign.
After playing for 18 seasons in the Giallorossi jersey, De Rossi is a Roma legend.
His dismissal further complicated matters for Juric,
who had to work in a hostile atmosphere during his first few weeks due to the club’s treatment of the former midfield player.
