DONE DEAL: Aston villa finally land £300,000-per week Man City star Jack Grealish as club accepts bid.

Jack Grealish, the winger for Manchester City, has been linked to Aston Villa.

The 29-year-old joined the Villains for almost 20 years after making it through their junior system.

But in a stunning £100 million deal, Manchester City acquired the Villa captain

during the summer transfer window of 2021.

The Englishman has won three Premier League titles and the 2022–23 Champions League during his fantastic

three years at the Etihad, but he is still far from a regular under Pep Guardiola.

Man City open to Jack Grealish offers

Grealish, who makes £300,000 a week (Spotrac), is one of the Spaniard’s most rotated players.

Former Premier League scout Mick Brown believes the Cityzens may be willing to let him go as long as

their demands are fulfilled.Grealish started just 10 league games in the previous season.

He said to Football Insider, “You’ve got to remember he’s a £100 million player.”

I’m not sure how many teams can afford that kind of transfer fee and his wages,

and I’ve heard that City would seek to recoup a large portion of that money.

“That would present a challenge to any parties with an interest.”

Aston Villa return ‘could happen’

Brown continues by projecting that Grealish will make an incredible comeback to his former haunt, saying it “could happen” for the City number ten to return to Villa.

“I believe that if he were to return, which is possible, he would be a huge value to Villa.

“It would take a lot of money to get Grealish out, and clubs are hesitant to spend a lot of money right now, in my opinion, if any clubs were interested in signing him.”

Grealish’s affection for the Villa supporters has never diminished, even when he left the team three years ago.

Grealish was a lifelong Villa supporter and will always be regarded as one of the team’s most beloved players, having played a key role in the league’s return in 2019.

However, there is a chance that a well-publicized return to the Midlands will conflict with Villa’s transfer policy. After signing Phillipe Coutinho from Barcelona in 2022, owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have already embarked on a high-profile signing journey. However, the Brazilian’s transfer was a complete failure.

As a result, Villa are now more focused on growing from inside and signing younger players with strong potential under manager Unai Emery, with striker Jhon Duran serving as the ideal example.

Grealish’s return would therefore be more of an emotional choice than a sporting one.
