TODAY: Rangers’ clash against Lyon in the Europa League today this is a “cracking” game at Ibrox.

After winning 2-0 against Malmo on the first day of the Europa League,

Rangers will be eager to add another three points to their record when they take on Lyon on October 3 at Ibrox, according to Alan Brazil.

Brazil stated that Lyon will be a far tougher test than Malmo did,

and they anticipate a fantastic atmosphere on another European night in Govan.

The talkSPORT host gave a live speech on October 2, 2009, at 9:34 a.m., discussing his thoughts before the match.

Brazil remarked, “They’re going to have to take the game to Lyon and Lyon are decent.

This is a little bit harder [than Malmo].”

“It’s going to be an amazing game; there will be a lot of energy in Glasgow and the stadium will be packed.”

Rangers’ Europa League matchup vs Lyon
The Rangers season has started off quite erratically.

it delivered an easy victory on the road in Malmo.

The abrupt departure of John Bennett didn’t help much either,

adding another wrench to the works that the Gers had to deal with [The Athletic, September 14].

Rangers’ annual objective is to qualify for the Champions League; but,

in the event that this isn’t feasible, they must advance as far as they can in the Europa League in order to partially make up for their lack of success.
It would be good for Rangers to silence Paul Lambert with a victory over Lyon,

even though he thinks that Scottish teams aren’t financially strong enough to compete with the best European teams.

Even though they are no longer the strongest team in France,

they still have a strong roster that includes many well-known players and the support of American billionaire John Textor.

The Gers may be in a better position than anticipated and already be considering qualification if they are able to secure an additional three points on Thursday, October 3.
