Manchester City eyeing Bruno Guimaraes move

Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

Manchester City are trying to strengthen their midfield in 2025 as a priority following Rodri’s ligament damage. They are hunting for potential targets, and according to Fichajes, Pep Guardiola’s team is interested in signing Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes.

The Magpies paid more than €42 million to sign the Brazilian international in the winter of 2022. Since moving to England, the former Olympique Lyon star has only improved. He has established himself as one of their mainstays, and his contributions have not gone ignored.

While the 26-year-old defensive midfielder’s contract with the Tyneside club expires in the summer of 2028, he has regularly been linked with a move away from the club. City appear to be the team most interested in adding the Brazilian star to their roster.

Guimaraes appears to be an excellent fit for City, but signing him won’t be easy. Newcastle sees him as an important component of their goals, and after spending more than €42 million to obtain his services in the past, they are reluctant to let him go easily.
