The Las Vegas Raiders and star wide receiver Davante Adams will part ways at some point in the future, according to sources, after both

parties agreed to trade the 31-year-old. The Raiders eventually traded Adams after acquiring him from the Green Bay Packers ahead of the

2022 season for a first and second-round pick.

Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders would “consider” dealing Adams for a second-round selection and extra compensation. A price

that a few contending clubs are likely more than prepared to pay to acquire the three-time All-Pro. Following indications that Adams is

expected to be moved, teams such as the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburgh Steelers have been touted as potential

destinations. The Dallas Cowboys were also previously believed to be in the mix.

Schultz also stated that the Chiefs are looking for a receiver following Rashee Rice’s injury, but because the Chiefs and Raiders are rivals, a

trade between the two is “highly unlikely.” Schultz did state that the widespread assumption in the NFL is that the New York Jets will

reunite Adams with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. “The #Jets are seen by many executives as a top landing spot,” says Schultz. Although

other teams are anticipated to participate.

The Raiders are exchanging Adams’ decision did not surprise many, given that he has been the subject of trade speculations throughout

the offseason. These were spurred by his outburst on Netflix’s “Receiver,” which aired in July and featured him telling folks on the

sidelines that he wanted to leave Las Vegas during a game last season.

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce may have fueled the fire earlier this week by allegedly “liking” an Instagram post revealing Adams’

potential departure from Las Vegas. Regarding the Cowboys’ lack of interest in Adams, it is evident that they will turn within to find help

for CeeDee Lamb. It also suggests that they weren’t interested in renting Adams since he just had one year of guaranteed money left on his

contract, or that they weren’t interested in paying him long-term.
