Report: The Friedkin Group make their latest move ahead of Everton takeover
The Friedkin Group has yet to legally become Everton’s owners, but they are already shown greater desire than those who presently own
the club.
Everton are in the process of finding new owners after The Friedkin Group agreed to take over the Merseyside club.
Dan Friedkin presently works at AS Roma, but it appears that the Friedkins may be about to sell up if one Italian reporter is correct.
The Toffees are putting the “final touches” on critical details of the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, which is expected to be completed by
2025. Interestingly, despite not being in power yet, it looks like The Friedkin Group is already making moves on Merseyside.
Last month, Adam Williams discussed the potential revenue from Everton’s new stadium, which could range from £70 million to £80
million per year. This is certainly fantastic for the team and the local economy, but these estimates are likely based on another season in
the Premier League. With the stadium nearing completion, The Friedkin Group has now stepped in with their newest attempt to aid a
team they don’t even own yet.
According to the Liverpool Echo, even before officially taking ownership, The Friedkin Group will step in to ensure the project is funded to
completion and to cover any working capital requirements that the club may require in the short term. The figure is anticipated to be in
the tens of millions.
