Celtic & Rangers rivals to ‘finalise’ managerial appointment as highly regarded coach on verge of arrival
The Scottish Premiership has already seen two managerial changes this season, with St Johnstone losing Craig Levien and Hearts losing
Steven Naismith due to poor performance. However, it appears that one of these teams is in the process of finding a new manager, which
should be exciting for supporters.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, St Johnstone is set to finalize a deal with Tiernan Lynch, the head coach of Larne, possibly today. The
Perth side has agreed on compensation with the Northern Irish champions and it is now up to Lynch to decide on his future. Celtic legend
Scott Brown was also considered for the role at McDiarmid Park before signing a new deal with Ayr United.
Lynch, 44, has led Larne from the second division in Northern Ireland to back-to-back NIFL Champions and the first Northern Irish side
to reach the group/league stages of a UEFA European competition, with Larne currently competing in the Europa Conference League.
