Three days before their scheduled performance at a significant Connecticut music festival,

the Foo Fighters cancelled due to the growing controversy around vocalist Dave Grohl’s adulterous love child.

The last day of their tour in support of “But Here We Are,” the record they released last year,

was Sunday at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport.

They have spent the entire summer touring the nation in support of their most recent project.

The band tersely announced on social media that “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival.”

Jack White and Greta Van Fleet were substituted for Foo Fighters, but the festival provided no further reason than,

“Unfortunately, Foo Fighters have announced they will no longer be performing this weekend.

” The two-day Seaside Park concert included a number of additional acts in addition to Bleachers, Norah Jones, Teddy Swims and the Foo Fighters.

Two weeks have passed since Grohl acknowledged cheating on his wife and fathering a child with a another woman.

The 55-year-old and Jordyn Blum, who married in 2003, have three daughters together.

It is reported that not long before the disclosure, the former drummer for Nirvana hired a divorce attorney.

Grohl has not reveal details about his new daughter or the woman he fathered her with.
