Tottenham XI vs Brentford: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League today
Spurs had mixed news on their fitness ahead of their Premier League matchup with all of London.
Wilson Odobert will not start for Tottenham against Brentford as Yves Bissouma is pushing for the starting spot.
Adobert, a teenager who signed a £25 million contract with Spurs last month,
was limited to just 18 minutes of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory at Coventry due to a hamstring injury,
despite seeing plenty of action early in his career.
Werner was forced off against Coventry late due to a knock, and Bissouma has not featured for Spurs
since suffering an injury while playing for Mali during the most recent international break.
At his pre-Brentford press conference on Friday, Postecoglou stated, “Wilson, it doesn’t look good.
It’s his hamstring. We’re still waiting for it to settle down with all the information,
but he’ll definitely be out for the next period.
Bissouma trained today so should be available for tomorrow.
Timo recovered okay.” The head coach of Tottenham also provided a less optimistic update on Richarlison,
the Brazilian forward, who is sidelined with a calf injury. The Australian stated, “He’s a fair way off.
I think you should stop asking me about him until I say I’ve got an update.
Predicted Tottenham XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bissouma, Bentancur;
Johnson, Maddison, Son; Solanke
Injured: Richarlison, Odobert
Date and time: 3pm BST on Saturday September 21, 2024
