Hull City will travel to Staffordshire this evening in an attempt to snap out of a poor patch of play that has seen them lose every game since Tim Walter assumed the bench.

Cody Drameh, Walter’s first summer acquisition, thinks a victory over Stoke City—even if it’s a close 1-0 victory thanks to a Potters own goal—could spark the team’s disappointing start to the season.

After losing to Leeds United prior to the international break, City suffered its second consecutive loss at home to Sheffield United on Friday night. This setback also put an end to a run of three consecutive draws against Millwall, Plymouth Argyle, and Bristol City, leaving Walter’s team stranded in the bottom three after five games.

“Definitely (so important to get a positive result), and that’s the beauty of the Championship,” the Tigers summer arrival told Hull Live. “One game goes and the next game comes, so I think definitely we’re looking forward to that game. I think we learn from stuff (against the Blades) and then we are already really, really positive and work together. We work hard throughout the week, and hopefully we can get a result for the supporters.”
