CONFIRMED : Regis Le Bris reveals Desperation for Success – Recalls Sunderland fringe duo Ahead of Middlesbrough Clash after failed summer exits

Many players joined Sunderland during the summer transfer window, which resulted in a number of authorized departures.
The attacking midfielders Adil Aouchiche and Abdoullah Ba remained on the outside of the first team squad, while fringe players like Pierre Ekwah, Timothee Pembele, and Elliot Embleton made moves away.

Neither of them saw their chances to go on from the Stadium of Light come to pass. As a result, their opportunities are expected to be restricted during the opening part of the campaign.

Regis Le Bris, the manager of Sunderland, hasn’t ruled out either player, though, and one of them might make the team for this weekend’s matchup against Middlesbrough.

according to The Northern Echo  the Black Cats head coach said that with Alan Browne set to miss out, one of the Frenchman could find a place in the side. Le Bris said he has been impressed with both in training but they need to ‘reconnect to the project’ after their failed summer moves.

“It’s possible yes,” the Sunderland boss said about the duo returning against Middlesbrough.
