ALLEN PARK with six players ranking among the top 50 names in NFL

Players Association product sales, the Detroit Lions are setting new records

for their burgeoning popularity in the football world.

Additionally, it’s not just six players—the most of anyone—spread throughout the top 50.

Leading the way are three Lions players who break into the top 10. Since Khalil Mack in 2019,

Aidan Hutchinson is the first defender to rank in the top three. Additionally,

Penei Sewell, a standout tackle, has joined Jason Kelce and Alejandro Villanueva

as the only other offensive linemen to ever rank in the top 50.

The NFLPA made notice of Hutchinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, C.J. Stroud,

and Patrick Mahomes as the players with the most popular jerseys.

Undoubtedly, the introduction of new uniforms and a redesigned aesthetic contributed to the outcome.

But it also illustrates how swiftly the Detroit landscape has evolved under Sheila Ford Hamp.

Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell.

See below for a rundown of the Lions on the list:

No. 3 — Aidan Hutchinson

No. 4—Amon-Ra St. Brown

No. 8 — Jahmyr Gibbs

No. 19 — Jared Goff

No. 44 — Sam LaPorta

No. 46 — Penei Sewell

Russell Wilson, Sauce Gardner, Hutchinson, and St. Brown were recognized as the top risers

from year to year. The only two Lions on the list were St. Brown (33rd)

and Hutchinson (18th) in the most recent NFLPA merchandise report.

But they and four of their colleagues benefitted from new jersey designs and increased expectations.

According to the NFLPA, official NFL products sold both online and in physical stores

including items from Fanatics, Nike, Fathead, Funko, and many more

helped in the compilation of these rankings. Among the items monitored were figures, framed pictures,

trade cards, game jerseys, hooded sweatshirts, backpacks, pennants, and pet supplies.
