Sinner Aims to Prevent Further Doping Scandal With New Hire

The top player in the world, Jannik Sinner, has expanded his team to include physiotherapist Ulises Badio and fitness coach Marco Panichi after firing two employees for failing two drug tests in March but not receiving a doping penalty.

After working with 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, Panichi and Badio bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. The Italian confirmed the appointment in a social media post on Monday.

Before receiving treatment, Sinner’s physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi used an over-the-counter spray to a cut on his own hand. This resulted in a positive test result for the muscle-building steroid clostebol.

Umberto Ferrara, Naldi’s trainer, gave him the spray.

Sinner fired his former fitness coaches after the news broke out. he went on to win the US Open. He had been cleared by an independent body after the accepted his explanation for consuming the drug.

With this new hires, Sinner will be looking forward to a career with doping allegations.
