Celtic v Slovan Bratislava Line up: UEFA confirm referee appointment for opener.
The match officials for Celtic’s opening round UEFA Champions League encounter versus Slovan Bratislava have been confirmed by UEFA.
When the Slovakian team arrives in Glasgow,
Brendan Rodgers’ team will be hoping to win their first UCL opener.
The match will be officiated by Dutchman Danny Makkelie, who will be assisted by fellow countrymen Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries. In this case, Marc Nagtegaal will serve as the Fourth Official.
The Dutchman Robin Dieperink leads the VAR squad, with Spanish assistant Carlos del Cerro Grande.
Makkelie, a 41-year-old Rotterdam police officer,

Jimmy McGrory’s Celtic team defeated the opposition in the competition’s semifinals despite winning both legs 1-0.
