West Ham and Aston Villa on alert as £12m target suddenly becomes a free-agent
Free agent Oumar Solet could be heading to the Premier League, with Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Wolves, and West Ham United all
interested in the defender.Slowly but steadily, some of the biggest names in the free-agent market are finding work.Adrien Rabiot is ready
to join Roberto de Zerbi’s
Marseille revolution, three months after his Juventus contract expired. Memphis Depay joined Corinthians in Brazil last week, and
Anthony Martial, a former Manchester United player, is highly connected with a move to Greek club AEK Athens.
And, after Red Bull Salzburg canceled Oumar Solet’s contract on Saturday, the 24-year-old Frenchman appears unlikely to be out of job
for long.
Because, according to HITC, teams around the continent have been put on alert as a result of his unexpected exit from the Austrian giants
. Marseille, Anderlecht, and Italian champions Inter Milan have all expressed interest in a trade.
HITC can also confirm that Solet has plenty of fans in the Premier League.
Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and West Ham United are all interested. Furthermore, they have room in
their official 25-man roster for a free agency signing.
Over the summer, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur all expressed interest in Solet, who had one year left on his
Salzburg deal. It remains to be seen whether any of the three intend to renew their interest at this point, given none of Liverpool,
Newcastle, or Tottenham signed a right-sided centre-back in the Solet mould before the window closed on August 30th.
