16 Sept. Results & Review: 8 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw
The end product is a show that, although not exactly hailed as a success,
has many more positive aspects than negative. That all changed on Monday night,
when the show included a number of incredible moments that raised the stakes for future contests and feuds,
as well as fun in-ring action and a few standout moments that will undoubtedly linger with fans for a long time.
WWE Raw has provided passable but mediocre content for some time now.
While most shows have mostly escaped the disastrous traps of the Vince McMahon era,
They have also not yielded many of those genuinely unforgettable moments
that linger weeks or even months after they air.
With an incredible unicorn promo, CM Punk set the tone right away.
making his Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre an action-packed,
must-watch bout to the death. Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed took “car crash.”
wrestling to heart with their collision, delivering numerous “Holy S***” moments in a short amount of time.
New Day did a fantastic job of creating suspense as their stress increased.
The stage is set for Bron Breakker and Jey Uso’s showdown for the Intercontinental Championship
the following week. Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair completely stunned the audience. And after Wyatt Sick6,
American Made made their proper comeback, as they should have done all along.
All in all, Monday night’s presentation was excellent.
Now let’s get started.
