The New Orleans Saints defeated the Dallas Cowboys 44-19 on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington thanks to four

touchdowns from running back Alvin Kamara and almost flawless passing from quarterback Derek Carr.

The first-team offense scored on 15 straight plays before punting in the fourth quarter on Sunday, marking the

Saints’ second resounding victory of the season. Dallas’ 16-game home winning streak came to an end as the

Cowboys fell to 1-1 against New Orleans.

The team’s all-time touchdown leader, Kamara, scored four on Sunday: three through running (five, twelve, and

seven yards) and one through catching (a stunning 57-yard screen throw). He gained 115 yards on 20 carries and 65

yards on two receptions. In addition to surpassing 6,000 yards rushing, Kamara is the only player in Saints history

to score four touchdowns in a single game twice.

Carr completed his first two passes, one of which was a screen ball to Kamara and another of which was a 70-yard

touchdown pass to Rashid Shaheed. He also added a touchdown quarterback sneak from one yard out. Carr had a

quarterback rating of 125 and went 11 of 16 for 243.

Chris Olave also had four receptions for 81 yards, while Shaheed had four for 96. Defense-wise, Carl Granderson got

1.5 sacks (sharing one with Chase Young), Bryan Bresee had a strip-sack, and cornerback Paulson Adebo had an

interception. Dallas attempted two fourth downs, but the defense held them off.

Football players Taysom Hill, Tyrann Mathieu, and Cedrick Wilson Jr. all exited the game for the Saints. In the

fourth quarter, Mathieu made his 34th career interception after coming back onto the field.

Next Sunday, the Saints will welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to the Caesars Superdome. The Atlanta Falcons and

the Eagles (1-0) square off on “Monday Night Football.”
