Cole Palmer injury update as Enzo Maresca confirms he ‘felt somethinhg’ ahead of Chelsea vs Wolves

Chelsea recorded that first win under Enzo Maresca but that came at a cost with two players looking like like they have picked up knocks.

Chelsea boosted their chances of securing Europa Conference League football with a 2-0 win, but they are now sweating over the fitness of Cole Palmer, who left the field holding the back of his thigh. Defender Tosin Adarabioyo was also seen feeling a little uncomfortable after the final whistle but it remains to be seen if it was just fatigue.

Palmer is still waiting for his first goal of the season, having started against Manchester City and come off the bench against Servette. However, the bigger concern is whether he will be fit enough to be involved at the weekend.

When asked about the status of Palmer immediately after the game, manager Enzo Maresca said, “He felt something, but he felt fine afterwards, so he could be available on Sunday.”
