Stoke City close to confirming loan exit as Steven Schumacher makes key decision

Nathan Lowe’s loan move from Stoke City is almost complete. The 18-year-old England

youth striker is thought to have had six suitors from whom to choose a spot to play this season.

He has been in demand this summer, just as he was in

January when Stoke decided to keep him in-house.

Stoke had been holding out for a striker to come in, but they are finally ready to approve

a transfer that should be completed in time for Lowe to play this weekend for his new team.

Jonathan isn’t too far away from being decided upon, according to Steven Schumacher.

That’s the one involving Nath. I think going to get some game time is the best thing for him.

We needed center-forwards in the squad, so I kept him in

last January despite all the options for him to go out on loan.

However, if his playing time is going to be restricted here, I don’t want to

keep him in for any longer than absolutely necessary. He needs to go

play for his development, and I don’t think it will take too long to accomplish that.

“I’ll wish him all the best when it’s finished; he’s a terrific child

and I’m so desperate for him to go and do well. Hopefully he does.”
