Nottingham Forest boss Nuno responds to Eddie Nketiah transfer question amid talks

Before next week’s transfer deadline, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t spoken much about the likelihood that Eddie Nketiah will join Nottingham Forest.

The Reds want to add more forwards to their roster before the summer window ends on August 30

at 11 p.m. Although negotiations over a possible move for the Arsenal striker Nketiah have not ended,

a bid for the player has already been turned down.

When questioned about the 25-year-old prior to Saturday’s trip to Southampton (3pm kickoff), Nuno was evasive. However, he wants the team to be prepared for everything that may arise in the last few days of the window.

When asked about Nketiah, he responded, “You know how this transfer window works, until the last

day anything can happen.” “I always stress that the most crucial thing is to hold onto the players we

now have in order to avoid any kind of surprise.

“Every club will make an effort to iron out the last wrinkles of their roster in these final days. We share similarities. What we need to do is be prepared to respond.

“We are happy with the players that have already arrived. Although the new players have blended in quite nicely, the competition never ends until the 30th.

There are a tonne of things happening. Clubs typically strive to iron out the last wrinkles during these closing days of the window, so anything can happen. As a team, we must be prepared to respond to any circumstance.
