The most recent transfer rumors regarding Nottingham Forest indicate that Eddie Nketiah has agreed to personal terms while Feyenoord is apparently playing hardball with Santiago Gimenez in their pursuit of a striker.

It is thought that Eddie Nketiah and Nottingham Forest have come to a personal agreement for Nketiah’s transfer from Arsenal, despite early concerns about the task’s complexity.

The 25-year-old surfaced earlier this week as one of Nuno Espirito Santo’s top two options to bolster his attacking lineup. An initial offer of £25 million, including add-ons, was reportedly far less than the Gunners’ estimated value of between £30 and £35 million.

Forest appears to be moving “close” to a final agreement as they continue their conversations. Fabrizio Romano’s most recent update would indicate a speedy deal completion once everything was settled out, if everything went according to plan on the teams’ end.

He said that after having direct talks, the striker has agreed to come to City Ground on a personal basis, with negotiations over a transfer fee being in “the final stages.” This comes after initial concerns that Nketiah would reject a transfer if his astounding £120k weekly salary was not met.

The most recent information also clarifies the pursuit of Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord, an other target. The Dutch team may be holding out by declining a second offer that was valued at €26 million (£22.1 million) plus add-ons.

Although the team is actively chasing both strikers, it is expected that only one will sign a contract by the deadline of August 30.

Nuno already has Chris Wood, an accomplished player who kicked off Forest’s Premier League campaign against Bournemouth last week, and Taiwo Awoniyi, who despite his injury history has scored 16 goals in the top level in only two years.
