Elliot Anderson is getting used to his new surroundings.

In order to recruit Anderson, the Reds had to make some financial acrobatics with the Magpies;

goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos was going north for £20 million.

At the City Ground on Saturday,

Anderson came off the bench for the last 20 minutes as Bournemouth held Forest to a 1-1 draw.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s 21-year-old is settling into

Nottingham and will be looking to break into the starting lineup as soon as possible.

As Anderson gets to know his new teammates,

he’s been asked questions about many facets of life at Forest,

and he’s given some interesting responses.

For the first time, the gifted utility guy has been adjusting to life at a new permanent club.

Anderson was raised in Newcastle’s youth and will have problems upon going to Forest,

When he met with the club’s official media team yesterday,

Anderson played a major role in Forest’s preseason campaign,

and it appears that he will continue to do so.

It’s interesting to note that Yates was chosen to replace

Danilo as a central midfielder on Saturday due to a major injury.

It would have been unfortunate for Anderson

and Yates to not be included in Saturday’s starting eleven.

Yates saw it as an opportunity to jump right into things after Danilo’s injury, but Anderson had to wait.

Both players might prove to be valuable members of the club as the season goes on.

Given their dedication to the game and their respective energies and athleticism,

Anderson and Yates may be a match for each other in some situations.

Anderson’s selection of Yates as the hardest opponent to face during training comes as no surprise.

Being a player who always puts his heart on his sleeve,

it’s not surprising that he gives it his best in training. He is a continuous threat on matchdays.
