Aston Villa are now ready to sign a player who Chelsea decided to reject in favour of Joao Felix.

Unai Emery and Monchi – Director of Football at Villa Park – have certainly been busy this summer, bringing eight new players to the Midlands after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League last season.

Now – according to sources in Spain – Aston Villa are willing to spend £30m to bring a ninth new face to Villa Park…

The Spanish news outlet explain how Chelsea were close to signing the Spain U21 international and even flew the striker to London for a medical – only to abandon the deal and sign Felix instead after he became available.

Interestingly, Aston Villa were offered the chance to sign Omorodion after Chelsea pulled out – an opportunity which the Villans now seem ready to pounce on.
