Jamie Vardy’s latest injury has caused goalless disruptions to Leicester City’s pre-season plans.

For the second successive summer, thunderstorms have seen a City friendly cancelled, meaning they have just two more matches to get themselves ready to face Tottenham

For the second summer in a row, Leicester City’s preseason plans were derailed by the weather, as their most recent friendly was called off due to a rainstorm.

Ten minutes into Wednesday night’s training session versus Rot-Weiss Weiler, a seventh-tier German team, lightning strikes and pouring rain forced the referee to remove the players from the field.

After another forty minutes, with no improvement in the weather, the game was abandoned with no goals scored.

After the storm passed, City went for a workout.

However, this setback means they will only have two friendlies left to prepare for the upcoming Premier League season: this Saturday against Augsburg and the following weekend against Lens.
