Tottenham Hotspur’s next season promises to be a huge one, as Ange Postecoglou has had a year to adjust to life in

the Premier League, and fans will be looking to him to lead the team back into the Champions League at the second

time of asking.

To do so, he will require Daniel Levy and his team to fulfill their tasks in the last weeks of the summer transfer

window, as they have not substantially enhanced the Australian squad.

Fortunately, indications indicate that the club is working hard to bring in the proper players, one of whom has the

potential to be a game changer for the club and bring out the best in some of its players, notably Dejan Kulusevski.

According to a recent TEAMtalk story, Tottenham have increased their interest in Bournemouth striker Dominic

Solanke and are prepared to make an offer for his services.

According to the article, the Lilywhites are willing to give £50 million plus a player to’sweeten the deal’, who might

be Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, Djed Spence, or Alejo Veliz.

This is an ambitious move, since prior reports indicated that the Cherries wanted £65 million for their top scorer and

nothing less.

Even at this revised price, Spurs would be making a large investment, but considering Solanke’s form last season, it

is likely to be worthwhile, especially given his potential to help reinvigorate some of the club’s other attacking

players, such as Kulusevski.

When it comes down to it, there is one major reason Solanke could help bring the best out of Kulusevski next season.

Last season, just two Tottenham players, Son Heung-min and Richarlison, scored more than ten goals in all

competitions, leaving the club’s wingers without a competent goalscorer to play off down the center.

Understat’s statistics shows that the Swedish international is failing his predicted assists figure in the league by a

huge 5.62, but previous season, when Harry Kane was on the club, he outperformed by 1.52.
