Everton and Sean Dyche have apparently come to an agreement to sign their fourth summer arrival as the new

Premier League season draws near.

Though it appears they haven’t finished their summer business, Goodison Park has already welcomed Tim

Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye in permanent moves in addition to another loan move for Jack Harrison.

Given that Everton is expected to receive an additional £50 million as a result of Amadou Onana‘s transfer to Aston

Villa, it is not surprising that the team is looking to add players.

Even so, Dyche has a challenge ahead of Everton’s opening day matchup with Brighton & Hove Albion on August 17.

Losing Onana is a significant blow. But in order to achieve that precise goal, the former Burnley manager might

decide that adding one player to the attack will make it the best kind of defense.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Everton has now agreed to sign Jesper Lindstrom on a loan to purchase from

Napoli, and that the agreement is currently “pending” with the offensive midfield player.

This comes after earlier rumours that the Toffees were just a step away from finalising a £21 million deal this summer.

Everton should just have to worry about paying Lindstrom’s rumored £48k weekly salary because the deal appears to

be a loan to purchase. After that, they may choose to splurge out on his summer transfer cost.

Lindstrom’s “intriguing” should include a creative element.

While Lindstrom can play at both ends of the field and is a box-to-box midfielder like Onana,

he excels in the final third and, having struggled to establish himself in the Napoli squad,

may now have the opportunity to do so at Everton.

The Dane had a successful stint with Eintracht Frankfurt before moving to Serie A,

helping to score four goals and score seven in the 2022–2023 Bundesliga season.
