Cardiff City are banking around £500,000 plus add-ons from selling Ebou Adams to Derby County, according to Wales Online.

Midfielder Adams spent the second half of last term on loan at Pride Park playing under Paul Warne and the Derby boss has been keen to have him back.

Now Warne has got his man with a permanent deal to take Adams to Derby having been completed.

Adams has put pen to paper to a three-year deal at Derby and the amount that the club have paid for him has now emerged, despite the Rams declaring the fee to be ‘undisclosed’.

Derby are paying around £500,000 to Cardiff for Adams’ signature.

The agreement also includes a number of add-ons which could see the final fee climb higher.

Adams impressed at Derby last term as they won promotion to the Championship and made 17 appearances in total.

He becomes Warne’s fifth signing of the summer as the boss prepares Derby for a campaign back in the second tier.
