Carlos Alcaraz has scheduled a new event for 2025.

After his incredible triumph at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, Carlos Alcaraz has made the decision to compete in the Rotterdam Open as an additional tournament for the upcoming season.

The Rotterdam Open, an ATP 500 event, is a favorite among players and spectators. The list of champions is impressive and includes players like Roger Federer, Jannik Sinner, Arthur Ashe, and Bjorn Borg.

The Rotterdam Open is scheduled for February 3–9, 2025, which may conflict with Alcaraz’s participation when the South American swing gets underway that year.

The incumbent Australian Open champion and the Italian are also slated to compete at the event, so it’s possible that Alcaraz and the Italian could renew their developing rivalry. Despite never having faced each other in a Grand Slam final, the Spaniard has a 5-4 advantage in their career matches.

Sinner and Alcaraz are scheduled to participate in the 2016 Olympic Games in Paris. In the men’s doubles competition, Sinner is expected to partner with fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

Alcaraz will, however, have his work cut out for him in the singles round, where he may face opponents such as Sinner, Novak Djokovic, and 2021 Tokyo Olympic gold medallist Alexander Zverev.
