Sunderland Lose Another Major Star to European Giants Lazio

Lazio could re-ignite their interest in Jobe Bellingham

Throughout the summer, there has been a lot of conjecture about Jobe Bellingham’s future at Sunderland.

Bellingham was reportedly the target of bids from Brentford and Crystal Palace earlier in the summer window. But so far, Sunderland has been able to hang onto the valuable midfield player.

Le Bris will undoubtedly benefit greatly from Bellingham’s rumoured intention to remain with the

Black Cats for at least one more season, which was first reported in early July.

However, it has recently been stated that Lazio might try to convince the young player to spend the summer in Italy rather than the Stadium of Light.

If they are unable to sign Mason Greenwood, the Serie A team is reportedly trying to buy the midfield player this summer, according to Il Messaggero via Tuttomercatoweb.

Lazio views Bellingham as a “plan B,” and the newspaper estimates that the cost will be in the neighbourhood of 15 million euros.

Jobe Bellingham unlikely to move to Lazio

As previously stated, Bellingham is expected to stay with Sunderland for the foreseeable future as

they get ready for the 2024–2025 season. It would be highly unexpected for the midfield player

to decide to leave, particularly if it meant moving to Lazio. Additionally, Sunderland is not likely to accept a fee of 15 million euros for the 18-year-old. It was previously reported that Sunderland would prefer a fee of more than £20 million for Bellingham, so despite the article’s assertions, it doesn’t

seem likely that Bellingham will join Lazio this summer.
