As Schmeichel prepares to settle in Scotland, the transaction is expected to be

completed by the end of Saturday, according to sources.

Those at Celtic Park consider the deal to be a “huge” coup, and Brendan Rodgers

was instrumental in making it happen.

The agreement will bring Rodgers and the Danish goalkeeper back together after their

successful time together at Leicester City.

Since Joe Hart retired at the end of the previous season, the Hoops have been searching for a new number one goalkeeper.
