Former Everton manager Keith Wyness suggested that

Matt O’Riley of Celtic would be the ideal Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

substitute at Leicester City.

The 66-year-old, who ran a football consultancy advising elite

teams after serving as CEO at Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009,

stated the 23-year-old would cost between £20 and £25 million in an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.

On July 1st, Football Insider disclosed that West Ham and Newcastle are two Premier League teams that are vying for O’Riley’s signature.

While Leicester and Serie A team Atalanta have been linked, it is thought that Southampton, Chelsea, and Brighton are also interested parties.

Last month, the Foxes lost Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea in a trade that was required in order for the team to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Wyness predicts that O’Riley will become a “Premier League star” at Leicester.

O’Riley might become a “star in the Premier League,” according to Wyness.
He stated on the Insider Track podcast of Football Insider: “O’Riley has generated a lot of attention and talk, but nobody has pushed the button.

It’s fascinating. These players from the Old Firm either perform well or poorly.I could see O’Riley adjusting and taking over for Dewsbury-Hall.
“He has talent, is the right age, and has the potential to succeed in the Premier League.”

“O’Riley is most likely the closest thing you can find to a Dewsbury-Hall substitute that is comparable.”

“They might get him for a fair price of between £20 and £25 million.
