Flynn, 22, from Dublin, joined the Foxes in 2018 after playing for Bray Wanderers,

and he has been with Leicester for the past six years.

He was included in the Leicester matchday squads for the Europa League in 2021,

and in March of the same year, he was one of the substitutes for Leicester’s

Premier League match against Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

In addition to playing in more than 20 U18 Premier League games, the 22-year-old made

48 appearances for Leicester City’s Premier League 2 team.

But his move to the RSC will see him attempt to make his first appearance in senior football

after being released by Leicester last month.

He exclaimed, “I’m overjoyed to be here at Waterford.” I’m incredibly looking forward to

playing senior football for the first time.

“I’ve been following the season from a distance, and the club is just getting better and better every year.”

The player’s manager, Keith Long, who was acquainted with him from his time playing for

Dublin’s St Joseph’s schoolboy kingpins, continued, “He’s a versatile player who primarily plays on the left.

“A competent technical player with good left-foot ability and good game intelligence.”

He has excellent short- and long-range passing ability.

“He’s a quality player and hopefully he will compliment the rest of the squad and the players we have at the club.”
