The big striker came in the door at the end of the winter window and hit the ground running, bagging key braces away to Hibs and Motherwell not long after he joined.

Idah had a knack for scoring big goals in big games and that was no more evident than in the Scottish Cup final.

Talk has been rife about the Hoops signing the 23-year-old permanently, with manager Brendan Rodgers making his stance clear on the matter in May.

Now, central defender Liam Scales has weighed in, admitting that the Celtic dressing room wants Idah to return.

“We would love to have Adam back”, he said (Glasgow Times).

“He is a great lad. He is obviously a brilliant player, but to have him in the changing room as well is brilliant. He is a good guy.

“He was massive for us and scored massive goals and put in massive performances. It is out of our control, but hopefully it happens.”

Bringing Idah back to Glasgow this summer would be a major coup for the champions.

He is proven in Scotland and has shown he can do it in key matches. At 23, too, he still has a wealth of room for development and under the stewardship of Rodgers, he will only improve.
