The Whites sealed the return of former loanee Joe Rodon

This summer, Leeds United has only closed one deal involving incoming transfers.

Earlier this week, the Whites finalized the return of former loanee Joe Rodon as part

of the £40 million deal that saw Archie Gray sign with Tottenham Hotspur.

Given how crucial he became last season, Rodon’s departure—which was

reportedly a separate transaction costing £10 million—is a great business move.

But Leeds have to be careful not to rest on their laurels when it comes to new acquisitions

if they want to improve even further and earn promotion the following season.

Leeds still needs reinforcements in a number of positions,

either to replace departing employees or to improve what they currently have.

Although there is a theoretical argument that Leeds still needs to improve in every aspect of the game,

continuity issues and financial constraints make that unlikely.

A goal scorer would improve the team’s performance,

especially considering how few goals were scored from that position in the 2023–2024 campaign.

Callum O’Hare, a free agency midfielder, has been identified as a possible target;

Coventry City confirmed his departure earlier this week.

Transfer specialist Graeme Bailey, who spoke exclusively to Leeds United. News,

believes that O’Hare—who is regarded as “brilliant”—is more of a number 10 than an eight.

are now showing the greatest interest in him.

However, Bailey has stated that Burnley, who were just demoted,

it does not appear that he is a target anymore following Leeds’ announcement last month to bring back Brenden Aaronson.

“We know Burnley like him, but I haven’t heard much about him with Leeds,” he remarked.

They may not be a major contender for Callum O’Hare, especially with Brenden Aaronson expected to return.

That would surprise me.
