Newcastle United Women have signed Amy Andrews from Durham.

Newcastle United has signed Amy Andrews, a 24-year-old forward, from Barclays Women’s Championship opponents Durham.

She joined Durham this summer after successful periods in the United States with Western Illinois University and Tormenta FC, when she won the USL W League Golden Boot with 16 goals in ten games.

Andrews told newcastleunited.com: “I am incredibly thrilled to be joining such an ambitious club whose ambitions are similar to mine.

“A football player’s dream is to be a part of the professional setup. I am eager to give my all for the club, the staff, and the fans.”

Manager Becky Langley stated, “Amy is an exciting, raw talent who impressed in the United States before moving to Durham.” She is a dedicated, driven girl who also scores goals.
