Ex-Aston Villa and Chelsea prospect ready to move after reported Sunderland transfer interest

Getafe, a Spanish club, is apparently looking to conclude a deal to sign Valencia winger Declan Frith,

who has been linked with several Championship clubs. The 22-year-old,

who played for Chelsea and Aston Villa as a teenager,

appeared 14 times for Valencia’s B squad during the 2023/24 season, which competed in Spain’s fourth division.

According to Spanish tabloid Marca, Championship clubs Sunderland and QPR have made ‘formal approaches’ on Frith, while Watford has also expressed interest in him. However, Marca believes the star would like to stay in Spain, with his agents scheduled to travel to Madrid on Monday to try to finalize a deal with Getafe. Frith joined Valencia from Aston Villa in September, having previously played for the latter’s under-21s in Premier League 2.
