West Ham United beat Tottenham in Max Kilman transfer race after Spurs approach

The Sun claims that West Ham United is expected to sign Max Kilman from Wolves before Tottenham Hotspur.

The newspaper stated on its website on July 5 that the defender will likely sign a six-year contract with the

Hammers. Even though Newcastle United had a bid rejected earlier in the window and Spurs and Manchester United

had approached with inquiries, this trade is practically finalized.

After their £30 million proposal was turned down, West Ham has now spent “above their original limit of £35m” to

sign the Englishman.

It is evident that Lopetegui wants to bolster his roster before he begins his first season as the Hammers’ manager.

During his brief tenure at Wolves, Kilman collaborated with the Spaniard, and it appears that he will soon be moving

to the London Stadium. The need for defenders has become evident, since Angelo Ogbonna’s departure was the first
