The Milwaukee Bucks welcomed back Darvin Ham a few weeks ago to supplement head coach Doc Rivers’ staff. The Bucks made the decision on Thursday to pair Ham back up with a player from his two-year stint with the Lakers.

This comes in the shape of seasoned forward Taurean Prince, who purportedly reached a free-agent agreement with Milwaukee.

As part of the confusing first week of NBA free agency, NBA expert Shams Charania broke the news of the signing on Thursday night:

Shams wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Free agent F Taurean Prince plans to sign a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.”

Although the specifics of the agreement are yet unknown, Prince’s $4.5 million salary from the Lakers’ previous campaign should serve as a decent indicator. It’s also expected that the 30-year-old will sign a contract with the Bucks for a brief period of time.

Under Ham’s coaching in Hollywood last season, Prince averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.8 triples on a 39.6 percent shooting percentage. The 6-foot-6 big started 49 of the 78 games he participated in for LA last season.

Another floor-spacer has been acquired by the Bucks to their roster, presumably as insurance in case Malik Beasley decides to hit the free agent market.
