Tomorrow, Spain’s Joselu wants to retire Toni Kroos, his former Real Madrid teammate. Germany and La Roja will compete in Stuttgart to advance to the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 competition.

Furthermore, Kroos has previously declared that this summer’s competition will mark his last games played as a professional football player.

Joselu remarked, “Playing with Toni was an honor.” He was a great teammate and personifies all of Real’s principles. He gave me a lot of advise.

That was the end of the former Stoke City player’s politeness. “We hope to send him into retirement on Friday,” he said. Players from other national teams are nothing to be concerned about. The game on Friday will be Toni’s last, as much as I adore him.”

After learning of Joselu’s remarks, 34-year-old Kroos responded angrily. “I can understand him saying that, but we have a lot to say about it,” said the German. “The Spaniards have been playing well so far, but so have we.

The fighting talk will add an extra layer of intrigue to what already promises to be a mouth-watering quarter-final. Germany are unbeaten at Euro 2024, while Spain are the only team to boast a flawless record after winning all three of their group games before a 4-1 victory over Georgia in the last 16.

Much of La Roja’s threat derives from the exciting wing duo of Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal.

However, Kroos is convinced that Yamal, 16, won’t have the same latitude he had against weaker opponents.
“It’s amazing how consistently he plays for his age,” he remarked. However, we are ready for him. It is advised that we protect against him. As a squad, we are aware that we must protect guys like that.

“He hasn’t been in many quarterfinals of the European Championship. In order to prevent him from playing like he has so far at the European Championship, we will attempt to keep him on the shortest leash possible.”
