Elliot Anderson has signed with Nottingham Forest
from Newcastle United, the club announced.
The £35 million price has drawn attention,
but it’s possible that the amount has been constructed
because PSR is riding high on the Magpies.
Even though Anderson is only 21 years old,
Shay Given has hinted that Forest may have found a gem.
The midfielder spoke of his pride at joining Forest
on Instagram after checking in at the City Ground.
Two Forest players have now expressed their admiration for him
and look eager to play with the Newcastle academy alum.
Two Nottingham Forest star players react to Elliot Anderson signing
It will be fascinating to see how Forest midfielder
Anderson performs and hopefully,
he can hit the ground running. Given the hefty transfer fee,
some fans might hold some reservations but as a young player,
he does have a nice profile.
As part of the Anderson deal,
Elanga was said to be going to Newcastle,
but he appears to have put any talk of leaving the team to rest.
“Hi brother! Welcome!” he posted. Now let’s get serious.
The next person to post was Gibbs-White,
who kept it brief and sweet by simply writing, “Welcome.”
Lastly, Hudson-Odoi sent him a two-word message saying,
“Welcome bro,” shortly after he arrived at the club.
Anderson is going to fit right in the Forest squad.
There’s a lot to like about Anderson coming to Forest at age 21.

He matches Forest’s target demographic of youthful players,
and he should get along well with
many of the other young players at the City Ground.
It’s encouraging that he has been accepted into the team by a few of the best players.
This summer, numerous rumors have circulated
indicating that Forest may need to offload its star players.
But with PSR smothered for another year,
it seems the Reds can now maintain their ground
and demand high prices for their best players.
