Ipswich Town have initiated talks with Hull City over a £35 million double deal for Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene.

Centre-back Greaves has garnered interest from Everton and West Ham this window, while the same teams have inquired about winger Philogene, who is also interested in Barcelona but only on an initial loan.

Everton were willing to pay £16 million for Philogene last week, and they have maintained an eye on Greaves despite Manchester United’s interest in Jarrad Branthwaite.

West Ham have failed to sign Wolves’ Max Kilman and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo as they prioritise a top-level centre-back, but they recognise 23-year-old Greaves has good potential after an accomplished couple of seasons that culminated in making the Championship Team of the Season and winning Hull’s Player of the Year award in April.

Philogene, 22, joined Hull from Aston Villa for about £5 million last summer and has been an intriguing addition, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in 33 games.
