Brighton and Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler has stated that he has spoken with both

Deniz Undav and Pascal Groß about their futures, but is unsure whether either or both will leave this summer.

The Brighton manager spoke with BILD in Germany as he prepares for what is expected to be a hectic summer in charge of the Seagulls.

After a lengthy negotiation with St. Pauli, the German has now officially replaced Roberto de Zerbi at Brighton.

Brighton had wanted the 31-year-old to replace Roberto.

The focus now shifts to building the squad to suit him, with Brighton set to be active in the transfer window

following a record-breaking year in terms of profits.

The club has already secured two major signings in Yankuba Minteh, who arrived from Newcastle

for €35 million, and Ibrahim Osman, whose €19.5 million transfer from Nordsjaelland was negotiated

earlier this year and is now complete.
Rather than further incomings, the attention is on prospective departures, with Undav looking to sign a

permanent deal with VfB Stuttgart following a successful loan spell there last season, and Groß connected

with a return to Germany, with many clubs interested in him.

According to reports, Hürzeler doesn’t want to lose

any player, and he has reiterated that position.

“I expressed my maximum appreciation to Deniz very clearly, several times,” according to him.

“I believe the appreciation is reciprocal. He understands my exact plan as I perceive it and collaborates with me. But I’m not sure how it will come out. The clubs must clarify this. The truth is that he belongs in Brighton. He also discusses issues other than sports.

“I also spoke to Pascal,” he said.

“He is a football enthusiast who aspires to be a coach: he swiftly applies what is required. But I can’t say what occurs next since I don’t know.
