Two absentees as Birmingham City players return for pre-season training under Chris Davies

Birmingham City players reported for their first day of pre-season testing under new boss Chris Davies yesterday.

Davies met several of his new charges for the first time when they arrived at the Elite Performance and Innovation Centre in Henley-in-Arden. Paik Seung-ho and new signings Bailey Peacock-Farrell was the only player who did not have to report on Day One.

Paik has been granted prolonged leave after completing military service in South Korea during the off season. The South Korean midfielder’s future will be determined after he returns to the Blues’ base.

Last season, Peacock-Farrell played two friendlies for Northern Ireland and finished his loan stay with Danish club Aarhus at the end of May. Blues have also given him some additional time.
